A widely circulated video on social media over the past few hours shows an Israeli officer, reported to be named Moshe Grunberg from the 271st Combat Engineering Battalion, detonating an entire building in Gaza yesterday, shortly before the agreed-upon ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. In the video, the officer says: "I dedicate this explosion to my daughter Ella for her birthday." As commentary poured in criticizing this shameful and inhumane act by Israeli forces, which have demolished around 60% of the buildings in the strip entirely or partially over the past month and a half before the short truce took effect yesterday, others described the major as "psychologically and morally ill."
