An Indian IT company recently sparked widespread outrage online after a video emerged showing a security guard locking the main entrance of the office with chains to prevent employees from leaving during work hours, following instructions from the company's manager.
In the footage, the guard indicated that he received directions from Anurag Sidi, the manager of "Coding Ninjas." The company issued a statement acknowledging the incident, describing it as a mistake that was corrected within minutes. A spokesperson stated, "We want to assure everyone that this action was not intentional, and we apologize for the inconvenience caused by this incident."
The video triggered extensive anger and drew attention to employee exploitation and a non-humane work environment.
