British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak indicated on Tuesday that the country plans to announce new sanctions targeting the funding of the Houthis in the coming days. Sunak stated, "Preliminary evidence from the strikes executed by U.S. and British forces yesterday (Monday) against Houthi capabilities in Yemen shows that all intended targets were destroyed." He told Parliament, "We will use the strongest means available to cut off the financial resources that the Houthis rely on to finance these attacks." He added, "We are working closely with the United States and intend to announce new sanctions in the coming days." Sunak also mentioned that British Foreign Secretary David Cameron will visit the Middle East this week.
