Taylor Swift: More Awards

Pop star Taylor Swift added another award to her long list of accolades on Wednesday, winning the Global Recording Artist of the Year award for the fourth time from the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), the organization that represents the recorded music industry worldwide. The "Anti-Hero" singer won the award for the second consecutive year, having previously won it in 2014 and 2019. According to the IFPI, the award is calculated by evaluating the number of an artist or band's sales worldwide across streaming, downloads, and physical recordings throughout the year, covering their entire body of work. The artist who tops the IFPI's global list for artists receives the Global Recording Artist of the Year award, a feat Swift has accomplished more than any other artist since the list was launched 11 years ago. K-pop groups Seventeen and Stray Kids secured the second and third positions on the list, respectively, in what the IFPI described as a "record-breaking year for Korean artists." Earlier this month, the 34-year-old Swift set another record at the Grammy Awards, winning Album of the Year for the fourth time.
