Traditional foods have taken center stage for producing families in the northern border region of Saudi Arabia during Ramadan, as various dishes see wide popularity among locals and residents. Some of the dishes that dominate northern tables include jareesh, qursan, sambosa, shorba, luqaimat, malaihiya, khumayra, and marqooq, among others. Chef Um Nada, one of the workers at the local market in Arar, stated, "Many locals and residents prefer dishes from producing families, especially the on-duty employees who are attracted to these Ramadan dishes." Several citizens expressed their appreciation for the products from producing families, which feature a distinct and unique flavor. It is noted that many female chefs in the northern border area have been offered free courses in buying, selling, and electronic marketing, and some have achieved significant popularity and reputation in this activity.
