U.S. Intelligence on Prior Knowledge of the Attack in Jordan

Politico reported that officials stated, "intelligence warned of Iranian-made drones breaching U.S. defenses in the Middle East." The report noted that "the intelligence warning is part of a risk assessment facing U.S. forces and diplomats following the Gaza war." It indicated that "U.S. intelligence had previously warned of threats to American personnel in Jordan from Iran-backed groups." Recently, the United States carried out strikes against Iran-aligned factions in Syria and Iraq, resulting in dozens of casualties, in response to an attack targeting its forces in Jordan.
