Poland Scrambles Fighters Due to "Activity" of Russian Military Aircraft

The Polish military command announced to the public that fighter jets from its army and allies have been dispatched to an area near the border with Ukraine due to "increased activity" of Russian aircraft. The command stated that the Polish armed forces had recorded "increased activity of Russian long-range aircraft, which was associated with its intention to strike Ukrainian territory." The command clarified that, in this context, a decision was made to "intensify the flights of Polish and allied aircraft... to ensure the safety of Polish airspace."
