For the second time, the artist Ahlam Al Shamsi faced an unfortunate situation in the fashion capital of Paris. The famous singer, who has over 15 million followers on Instagram, was the victim of theft during her visit to Paris last Friday. The 55-year-old Emirati star filed a complaint with the police in the 16th arrondissement, revealing that she lost belongings valued at 100,000 euros after her bags disappeared from outside the accommodation where she was staying in the upscale Passy area overlooking the Eiffel Tower, according to French media reports. Ahlam explained that she left two bags at the entrance, and when she returned to retrieve them, they were gone. Sources familiar with the case suggested that surveillance cameras in the highly secured accommodation might help identify the culprits. It is worth noting that this is not the first time Ahlam has reported a theft in Paris. In 2016, she reported the theft of a Rolex watch worth 100,000 euros and a precious ruby while sitting on the terrace of the upscale restaurant Chez Francis, overlooking the Eiffel Tower in the Alma Square (16th arrondissement). She had placed her bag beside her, only to later notice the disappearance of her watch and gemstone.
