The Hashemite Royal Court of Jordan has appointed media professional Nart Bouran as the director of the Media and Communication Department, effective February 1. According to the Jordan News Agency (Petra), Bouran has over 30 years of experience in the media sector. He previously served as the CEO of the UAE-based International Holding Company for Media Investments, and as the Senior Vice President for Programs and News at the Middle East Broadcasting Network (MBN) in the United States. Additionally, he held the position of CEO and head of news at Sky News Arabia from 2011 to 2018, where he contributed to the establishment of the channel. His experience also includes several significant positions, such as Director of Thomson Reuters Television in London, Director of News at Abu Dhabi Television, and General Manager of the Broadcasting and Television Corporation. Bouran holds a bachelor's degree in International Relations from Syracuse University in the United States. He replaces media figure Fahd Al-Khaitan, who resigned after more than two and a half years in the role. Fahd Al-Khaitan had been appointed as the director of the Media and Communication Department at the Hashemite Royal Court on May 23, 2021.
