The Saudi Foreign Ministry expressed the Kingdom's welcome for the UN General Assembly's adoption of a resolution regarding "measures to combat hatred of Islam" and the appointment of a UN Special Envoy to address Islamophobia. The ministry reiterated, in a statement, the Kingdom's support for all international efforts aimed at combating extremist ideas and cutting off their funding. It highlighted Saudi Arabia's promotion and adoption of values of peace and dialogue among followers of different religions and civilizations, as well as its ongoing support for establishing a culture of mutual respect among adherents of various religions, sects, and denominations, and enhancing the culture of coexistence among peoples to achieve peace and prosperity for the entire world.
