The organization "World Central Kitchen" reported today, Thursday, that a "second ship carrying food aid to Gaza has been loaded in Cyprus, as the first trial ship for delivering assistance by sea approaches the besieged Palestinian territory." The statement mentioned that they are "loading a ship at the port of Larnaca with around 300 tons of food aid, including legumes, canned tuna, vegetables, rice, and flour."
The charity added, "Our shipments are expected to be inspected and loaded by the end of the day, Cyprus time." They did not specify when the ship would set sail. World Central Kitchen, which collaborates with the UAE and the Spanish charity Proactiva Open Arms with support from the Cypriot government, stated that it would not provide details about the journey for security reasons.
The charity is preparing a dock in Gaza to deliver aid, measuring approximately 60 meters, as stated by its founder, José Andrés, in a post on the social media platform X late Wednesday. An unverified video shared on social media showed a bulldozer leveling a dock made of debris on the Gaza shore.
