Wife of Prince Harry: Faced Abhorrent Abuses During Pregnancy

Meghan, the wife of British Prince Harry, announced that she faced "abhorrent" abuse online during her pregnancies with their two children, criticizing the toxic atmosphere and lack of humanity on social media platforms and certain media outlets. Meghan married Harry, the second son of King Charles, in 2018 and they have two children, Archie (four years old) and Lilibet (two years old).

During an event at the "SXSW" festival in Austin, Texas, on Friday, Meghan said, "The bulk of the bullying and abuse I experienced on social media and online was when I was pregnant with Archie and Lili, or with a newborn." She continued, "You think about it and you really realize why people can be so cruel, in the digital space and certain sectors of the media we have forgotten our humanity, and that needs to change."

Harry and Meghan had revealed the difficulties they faced as part of the British royal family, especially after stepping back from their royal duties and moving to California, a decision Harry said he made to protect his family.
