Taiwanese Shipping Company Changes Ships' Route to Cape of Good Hope

The Taiwanese shipping company "Yang Ming" announced today, Monday, that it "will change the routes of its ships sailing through the Red Sea to the Cape of Good Hope over the next two weeks due to the increase in attacks on vessels." It added in a notice to customers: "For our ships that are currently sailing or are likely to sail through a high-risk maritime area in the next two weeks, it has been decided to immediately reroute them to the Cape of Good Hope or to wait in a safe location." It stated: "We will continue to closely monitor the situation in the high-risk area, and we will make immediate adjustments to adapt our ships and routes in response to changes in the situation, ensuring the safety of transportation."
