Cargo Ship Registered in Britain and Managed by Lebanon Attacked in Bab al-Mandab

British maritime security company Ambrey announced today, Sunday, that a cargo ship flying the Belizean flag, registered in the United Kingdom, and managed by Lebanon reported being attacked in the Bab al-Mandab Strait. Ambrey stated in a memo that "the vessel was heading north on a trip from Khor Fakkan in the UAE to Varna in Bulgaria when the attack occurred." The memo noted: "The partially loaded ship briefly reduced its speed from ten to six knots and deviated from its course, contacting the Djiboutian Navy, before returning to its previous course and speed." The British Maritime Trade Operations reported that it received a report of an incident 35 nautical miles south of the Yemeni city of al-Mokha.
