Israeli President Meets Qatari Prime Minister Secretly

The Israeli newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth" reported that Israeli President Isaac Herzog secretly met in Germany with Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani. The report stated that "the two men discussed the issue of releasing hostages," noting that "the meeting was part of the Munich Security Conference." Israeli Channel 12 added that Hamas leader in the Gaza Strip Yahya Sinwar insists on his demands during the Cairo negotiations, and there are no signs of reaching a compromise. Yedioth Ahronoth also reported that CIA Director William Burns visited Israel and met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Mossad Chief David Barnea.
