The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations reported today, Sunday, the evacuation of more than two thousand people, including 405 children, from areas affected by floods in the Primorsky Krai region of the Russian Far East. The statement added that 4,368 residential buildings, 5,654 personal plots, and 43 sections of roads remain submerged in water in the area. Twenty-eight towns have been surrounded by water, and authorities have established water crossings using boats to access them. Electricity is still cut off entirely or partially from 13 towns and villages in the region due to damage to energy facilities caused by the floods. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, 13 temporary shelters have been set up in the area, accommodating 550 people, including over 160 children. A total of 653 emergency personnel and 205 pieces of equipment are working to remove the effects of the floods.
