Chelsea confirmed on Tuesday that "defender Reece James suffered a hamstring injury during the 2-0 defeat against Everton on Sunday in the English Premier League." Media reports have stated that "the right-back could be sidelined for up to three months." James (24 years old) played for only 27 minutes at Goodison Park and underwent a medical evaluation after the match. Chelsea stated that scans have confirmed his hamstring injury. The club added in a statement: "Reece will now begin a rehabilitation program at Cobham (training center)." This is the second hamstring issue the Chelsea captain has faced in the last four months. James returned to action in late October after suffering an injury during the team's match against Liverpool in the league held at Stamford Bridge on August 13. Chelsea, currently in 12th place in the league with 19 points from 16 matches, will host bottom-placed Sheffield United next Saturday.
