Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman announced today the launch of "Alat" company, which aims to make the Kingdom a global center for electronics and advanced industries. "Alat" specializes in manufacturing products serving both local and international markets, within seven strategic business units: advanced manufacturing, semiconductors, smart home devices, smart health, smart electronics, smart buildings, and the new generation of infrastructure.
The company, chaired by the Crown Prince, intends to enhance the capabilities of the tech sector in the Kingdom and increase its contribution to local content, leveraging the rapid pace of its development to boost attractiveness and create investment opportunities. "Alat" also focuses on providing sustainable manufacturing solutions for global companies through the Kingdom's clean energy resources in order to achieve net zero by 2060.
