Lebanon's caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati announced in a speech that he has informed ministers about the postponement of today's Cabinet session to a later time. He emphasized, "We are committed to granting all rights to everyone, but we are bound by spending ceilings that cannot be exceeded." He also warned that if the required increases and incentives for the public sector are not approved, "I caution everyone that at the end of the month, the Ministry of Finance will not be able to secure salaries despite the existence of funds." Mikati also warned against not opening the Ministry of Finance before the end of the month, stating that salaries cannot be disbursed without opening the financial departments.
