Kuwait Renew Calls for Iran to Start Maritime Boundary Negotiations

The Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry stated in a statement today, Monday, that "Kuwait renews its invitation to Iran to start negotiations concerning the demarcation of maritime boundaries, with Kuwait and Saudi Arabia as a single negotiating party." It emphasized that "the maritime area containing the Al-Dorra gas field lies within the maritime zones of the State of Kuwait, and that the natural resources therein are jointly owned by both Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, which have exclusive rights to them."
