Two Arrested in Baalbek for Involvement in Drug Trafficking and Murder of Soldiers

The military command announced that a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate arrested a Lebanese (A.M.) and a Syrian (H.H.) in the town of Douris, Baalbek, for forming, along with others, a gang to promote drugs in Beirut and the Bekaa. The Lebanese individual is also wanted under several arrest warrants for committing various crimes, including opening fire with others on a patrol from the Directorate on February 16, 2023, in the town of Hourtala - Baalbek, which resulted in the martyrdom of three soldiers. A weapon and a quantity of ammunition were confiscated from them. The seized items were handed over, and an investigation with the detainees began under the supervision of the competent judiciary.
