Russia Adds 23 More British Individuals to Sanctions List

The Russian Foreign Ministry announced today, Wednesday, that "Moscow has expanded its counter-sanctions list against Britain to include an additional 23 individuals." The Russian Foreign Ministry stated in a press release: "Due to London's anti-Russia stance, which extensively employs personal sanctions mechanisms and provides comprehensive support to the new Nazi regime in Kyiv," a decision has been made to expand the "list of those banned" from entering Russia by including 23 more individuals representing the military-political establishment, media, and scientific community in Britain.

The statement highlighted that among those now included on the Russian "stop list" are British Chief of Staff Anthony Radakin, who oversees training for Ukrainian armed forces fighters on British soil, Chair of the UK government's Joint Intelligence Committee, Madeleine Alessandri, who contributed to formulating London's strategy regarding Ukraine, and Chair of the Board of British defense company BAE Systems, Cressida Hogg.

The Russian Foreign Ministry has imposed personal restrictions on officials from several British political science centers "involved in gathering and analyzing information to combat Russia," such as the Royal United Services Institute, the Henry Jackson Society, and the Civitas Institute for analysis. The Russian Foreign Ministry emphasized that "any attempts from the British side to increase sanctions pressure on Russia will be met with a decisive rejection" and confirmed the ongoing work to expand the Russian "stop list" in response to London's hostile actions.
