Title: Lebanon: Arrest of 3 Individuals for Various Crimes

The Army Command - Directorate of Guidance announced that on February 22, 2024, a patrol from the Directorate of Intelligence arrested two individuals, a Lebanese (N.Q.) and a Syrian (A.A.), in the areas of Bir al-Abed and the Airport Road - southern suburb of Beirut for drug-related activities and trafficking. The first person was also charged with stealing more than twenty motorcycles in the southern suburb. A quantity of drugs and a sum of money were seized from the Syrian. Additionally, another patrol from the Directorate arrested a Lebanese (N.Q.) in the town of al-Abda - Akkar for throwing a hand grenade in front of a shop in the Badawi area on February 13, 2024, which caused material damage. The seized items were handed over, and an investigation with the detainees was initiated under the supervision of the relevant judiciary.
