Troubles Rain Down on Boeing: Aircraft Loses Part of Its Body During Flight

Boeing continues to face troubles. In the latest incident in a series of recent events involving aircraft manufactured by the American company, an older Boeing 737-800 lost an exterior panel during a flight from San Francisco to its destination in Southern Oregon, officials confirmed. They added that this was discovered after it landed at Rogue Valley International-Medford Airport. A photo shared on social media documented the missing part.

According to FlightAware, United Airlines Flight 433 departed San Francisco at 10:20 AM local time and landed at the airport shortly before noon. Airport director Amber Good confirmed that the aircraft landed safely without any incident, and the loss of the exterior panel was discovered during a post-flight inspection. Additionally, no debris was found on the runway, according to the Associated Press.

A spokesperson for United Airlines noted via email that there were no indications of any issues and no emergency was declared during the flight, which carried 139 passengers and 6 crew members. Furthermore, he added, "After the aircraft was parked at the gate, the loss of the exterior panel was discovered."
