Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed today, Thursday, his belief that U.S. President Joe Biden called him "crazy" due to his statements last week, in which he said he preferred Biden as president of the United States rather than Donald Trump. Putin added that Biden's statement explains why the Kremlin favors him as president of the United States in the future.
Putin told state television with a slight smile: "We are ready to work with any president. But I believe Biden is the more preferred president for Russia, and based on what he just said, I am completely right."
In response to a journalist's question about whether Biden's remarks were “rude,” Putin agreed. He continued, "You asked me which is better for us. I said it then, and I still believe I can repeat it: it is Biden."
Earlier today, the Kremlin considered Biden's statement made during a fundraising event in San Francisco yesterday to be degrading to the United States. Putin stated earlier this month that he preferred Biden over Trump as president of the United States because Biden is "more experienced and predictable in his actions."
