Hezbollah condemned "in the strongest terms the blatant American aggression against Iraq and Syria, which targeted several areas in the two brotherly countries and led to a number of martyrs and injuries." The group stated in a communiqué that "what the United States has done is a gross violation of the sovereignty of the two countries and an assault on their security and territorial integrity, constituting a flagrant disregard for all international and humanitarian laws." They emphasized that "this new aggression contributes to destabilizing the region and provides flimsy justifications for the continuation of American occupation in several areas of Iraq and Syria against the will of their peoples longing for freedom and independence."
Hezbollah added: "The American aggression against Iraq, Syria, and Yemen reveals the false claims of the United States regarding its lack of desire to expand conflict in the region; on the contrary, it fuels conflict, tension, and escalation of wars in the region." They concluded: "We believe that this criminal aggression motivates the Iraqi and Syrian peoples to adhere to the path of resistance to liberate their countries from American occupation and to continue supporting the oppressed Gaza sector until the Zionist aggression and its crimes come to a halt."
