A recent medical study revealed that excessive intake of "niacin" or "vitamin B" can increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Researchers from the Cleveland Clinic, in a study published in the journal Nature Medicine, found a strong connection between 4PY, a metabolite derived from excess niacin, and heart diseases. Stanley Hazen, the director of the microbiome and health center at Cleveland Clinic and the study's lead author, indicated that these findings are highly significant as they unveil a previously unknown cause of cardiovascular diseases. Hazen added, "We will be able to conduct diagnostic tests, which will pave the way for addressing the effects of the metabolite derived from niacin," as reported by UPI news agency.
