Bouhabib Meets Japanese Counterpart: Informed Her That We Are Not Seeking War

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants in the caretaker government, Abdullah Bouhabib, welcomed Japan's vote in favor of the resolution issued yesterday by the United Nations General Assembly regarding the protection of civilians, respect for legal commitments, and the delivery of humanitarian aid after his meeting with his Japanese counterpart, Yoko Kamikawa, in Geneva. He thanked Japan for the assistance it provides to Lebanon and expressed hope for developing cooperation with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). He stated, "I informed my Japanese counterpart that we in Lebanon are not seeking war, and we look forward to Israel's full commitment to Resolution 1701." Bouhabib emphasized the importance of resolving the Palestinian issue as the key to stability in the Middle East.
