Title: Egyptian Foreign Ministry Clarifies Claims of Embassy Damage in Sudan

The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement on Monday evening addressing the rumors regarding the alleged damage to the Egyptian embassy in Sudan. Spokesman Ahmed Abu Zaid stated, "It is unfortunate that some media outlets are circulating old images of damage that occurred to the Egyptian embassy in Khartoum during the intense armed confrontations in the Sudanese capital." He clarified in a statement on his official page on the "X" platform that the incident dates back several months. Ahmed Abu Zaid noted that Egypt had, at that time, sent a committee in coordination between the foreign ministries of the two countries to assess the damage at the uninhabited premises, which contained no important documents. Media outlets had circulated images showing the destruction of the Egyptian embassy building in Khartoum and the looting of its contents.
