The following statement was issued by the Media Affairs Office at the General Directorate of Public Security: "The General Directorate of Public Security informs citizens that, in implementation of Decree No. 11767 dated 01/08/2023 (amending the fee amounts to be collected by the General Directorate of Public Security), the fees for issuing Lebanese passports, Palestinian travel documents, and travel permits have been amended as follows:
- Five-year passport: 6,000,000 Lebanese Lira
- Ten-year passport: 10,000,000 Lebanese Lira
- Travel permit: 1,200,000 Lebanese Lira
- Palestinian travel document for three years: 3,600,000 Lebanese Lira
- Palestinian travel document for five years: 6,000,000 Lebanese Lira.

Additionally, the Acting Director General of Public Security, Elias Beissari, revealed that a desire from an Arab country has been conveyed to assist the Public Security service, expressing readiness to process the printing of one million passports and cover the costs, to be completed by the end of August."
