There is no doubt that American pop singer Taylor Swift has been the star of the week, especially as she has been at the center of numerous headlines in recent days. From winning a Grammy for Album of the Year for the fourth time, to snubbing the giant star Celine Dion who presented her with the award at the ceremony, and the subsequent harsh criticisms of her behavior, the star is back in the spotlight. Swift has threatened to take legal action against a college student in Florida who runs social media accounts tracking her private jet and those of other celebrities, calling the matter one of "life or death."
Katie Wright Moroney, Swift's attorney, sent a letter to 21-year-old Jack Sweeney, stating that she would have "no choice but to resort to all legal remedies" if he did not cease his "stalking and harassment behavior," according to the British newspaper "Daily Mail." The letter claimed that Sweeney's posts have caused "immediate and irreparable harm" to Swift and her family, along with emotional and physical distress, and have heightened the singer’s "constant fear" for her personal safety. Moroney stressed that while this behavior may be a game for the accused or a means he hopes will bring him wealth or fame, it is a matter of life or death for her client. She further noted that attorneys are aware of the accused's public disputes with other high-profile individuals, referencing his negotiations with Tesla founder Elon Musk after the CEO said he was sharing his "assassination coordinates."
