Indian media reported that at least one person was killed and others were injured following multiple explosions at a conference center in Kerala, southern India, today, Sunday. Reports indicated that the explosions occurred during a meeting of the Christian group Jehovah's Witnesses at the convention center in Kalamassery, approximately ten kilometers northeast of Kochi.

Local newspaper Mathrubhumi reported that at least three explosions occurred inside the conference hall, resulting in injuries to more than 23 people, who were taken to hospitals.
T.A. Sreekumar, a spokesperson for the group, told Mathrubhumi: "The explosion occurred seconds after a prayer during the day's activities. The first explosion happened in the middle of the hall. Seconds later, two other explosions shook both sides of the hall simultaneously."
The cause of the explosions remains unclear.
