The center contacted the Ministry of Health and Population, which denied the rumors, stating, "There is no truth to the claim of a new respiratory virus leaking into Egypt from abroad." The Ministry of Health emphasized that the health situation in the country is "reassuring and completely stable, with no outbreaks of viruses or any epidemic diseases across the republic." They confirmed, "Egypt has an effective disease surveillance and investigation program that works actively in the early detection and monitoring of any epidemics or diseases, alongside the implementation of all precautionary measures at Egyptian airports and ports for arrivals from countries with infected areas." The ministry urged citizens "not to fall for these rumors and to seek information from official sources."
