Spanish football star Aitana Bonmatí, the winner of the Ballon d'Or for Best Female Player in the World, aspires to add Olympic gold to her already impressive collection of awards and titles after winning the World Cup and the Ballon d'Or in 2023. Bonmatí (26 years old) stated, "I have a valuable list of achievements, but I aspire to achieve more." She added, "I have not yet won a European Championship medal, nor an Olympic medal. There are still some achievements that I need to accomplish."
Bonmatí led her team, Barcelona, to four consecutive Spanish women's league titles and helped her team win the UEFA Women's Champions League twice in three years. She also played a crucial role in helping the Spanish national team qualify for the Summer Olympics for the first time in history by defeating the Netherlands 3-0 on home soil in the semi-finals of the European Nations League last month.
