Title: Dubai Airport Passenger Numbers Surpass Pre-Pandemic Levels in 2023

Dubai Airports announced on Monday that Dubai International Airport, the busiest airport in the world, recorded a 31.7% increase in passenger traffic last year to 86.9 million, surpassing pre-COVID-19 pandemic levels. This compares to 86.4 million people who traveled through the airport in 2019, before the pandemic halted the global aviation sector. Dubai, the largest tourism and commercial hub in the Middle East, quickly reopened after the pandemic. This, along with the influx of Russians and businessmen, as well as the easing of social and visa regulations, has contributed to the economic recovery, which has also led to rising property and rental prices. India was the top destination for Dubai International Airport in terms of traffic, with 11.9 million passengers last year, followed by Saudi Arabia with 6.7 million, then the UK with 5.9 million, and Pakistan with 4.2 million passengers. Dubai Airports expects that Dubai International Airport will receive 88.8 million passengers in 2024, bringing the airport close to the record high of 89.1 million set in 2018. Dubai International Airport is connected to 262 destinations in 104 countries through 102 international airlines.
