International Astronomy Center: Crescent Moon of Ramadan Not Visible

The International Astronomy Center announced that the crescent moon of Ramadan was not seen today, Sunday, stating that nothing appeared when directing the telescope towards the moon's visibility location, despite the sky being very clear. The center highlighted in a post on its official account on the "X" platform that astrophotography techniques were used from the Khateem Observatory, known for its exceptional power and ability to see difficult crescents and celestial bodies in daylight. The center indicated that they were able to see the planet Venus and the planet Mercury, but nothing appeared when directing the telescope towards the crescent moon's location, even with the clear sky. Earlier on Sunday, the center stated in a statement, "For countries that require a valid sighting of the crescent moon from anywhere in the Islamic world, it is expected that these countries will start Ramadan on Tuesday, March 12."
