Colonel in the Israeli Army: This is Why Nasrallah is Still Alive

Colonel (Res.) Ronen Cohen of the Israeli army stated that Israel is capable of waging war on the northern front, but the cost would be extremely high. According to the "Jerusalem Post," Cohen spoke in a radio interview about the possibility of war against Hezbollah and the reasons for not escalating the conflict in the north. He said, "I'm not sure the high command is ready to wage war in the north, and I'm not certain we are in a real position to handle such a war; we are capable, but the cost would be extremely high."

He added, "Of course, the Americans are the last ones who want a war in the north, and we depend on them for armament; the high command prefers to reach an agreement." Cohen mentioned that "when we are at war, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah quickly enters his bunker; we do not want to start a war, and it is clear that such an assassination would lead to the start of the war. That is why Nasrallah is still alive."
