An Israeli official revealed in a conversation with CNN today, Saturday, that "Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu informed the war council on Thursday that the operation of Israeli forces in Rafah should be completed by the beginning of Ramadan on March 10, 2024." Netanyahu's office stated in a press release on Friday, "The Israeli Prime Minister has instructed the army to plan for the evacuation of residents from Rafah." Netanyahu also clarified that "the Israeli army will soon head to Rafah, the last stronghold of Hamas." It is believed that more than 1.3 million people are present in Rafah, most of whom have been displaced from other parts of Gaza, according to the United Nations.
