The Saudi Family Medicine Association celebrated receiving a Guinness World Records certification after achieving a new record by gathering the largest number of supporters for the shingles awareness campaign in collaboration with GSK. This record was set during the campaign held at Boulevard City in Riyadh, aimed at highlighting the effects of shingles on individuals and ways to prevent the disease.
During the event, inquiries regarding the nature of the disease, its potential spread among men and women, its causes, the most common and severe complications, and ways to manage them were addressed. Key preventive measures to avoid contracting the disease and information on which age groups are most in need of vaccination were also presented.
This event marks the second organized by the Saudi Family Medicine Association at Boulevard City in Riyadh, held from January 3 to January 9. The event received significant public participation, offering health guidance and measuring body mass index for attendees.
