The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division issued the following statement today, Saturday: "As part of the ongoing efforts by the Internal Security Forces to combat all types of crime, particularly related to the circulation of counterfeit currency, on February 2, 2024, a patrol from the Financial Crimes and Money Laundering Unit managed to arrest an individual named M. M. (born in 1999, Syrian). He was found to have entered electronics and mobile phone sales shops in the town of Al-Mayassa, Metn North, and paid for the items he purchased with counterfeit foreign currency in American dollars.

Therefore, following the direction of the competent judiciary, the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces disseminates his image and requests that those who have fallen victim to his actions come to the office located in Chiyah/ Boulevard Camille Chamoun - Colonel Martyr Joseph Daher Barracks, third floor, or contact the number 290881-01 in preparation for taking the necessary legal actions. He buys items from commercial shops and pays for them with counterfeit currency, leading to his arrest by the Financial Crimes and Money Laundering Unit.
