Hamas Announces Sending a Negotiation Delegation to Cairo

Hamas announced today, Saturday, that it will send a negotiation delegation to the Egyptian capital to participate in talks set to resume tomorrow, Sunday, affirming its refusal to concede its demands. Hamas stated in a statement that "a leadership delegation from the movement, headed by Dr. Khalil Al-Hayya, will head to Cairo tomorrow, Sunday, in response to the invitation from our brothers in Egypt." It added, "Hamas reiterates its adherence to the position it presented on March 14, which are natural demands to end the aggression, and there will be no concessions." Hamas further confirmed that "the demands of our people and national forces include a permanent ceasefire, the withdrawal of occupation forces from Gaza, the return of displaced people to their homes, freedom of movement for the people, their relief and accommodation, and a serious prisoner exchange deal."
