The delegation of the Lebanese women's basketball team has departed for Australia to participate in the Asian Cup, which will take place from June 26 to July 2. Below are the names of the delegation members: Carla Turk Ghalmi (Team Director), George Jaaja (Coach), Gilbert Nasr and Ziad Al-Nator (Assistant Coaches), Christian Mjebber (Fitness Trainer), Joe Armoni (Physiotherapist), Eli Nasrallah (Logistics), and players Rebekah Akel, Aida Baakous, Sherine Shereef, Leila Faris, Miramar Makdadi, Natalie Sifajian, Qamar Mansour, Zainah Elias, Narine Ghiokjian, Rana Al-Husseini, Daniella Fayad, and the naturalized player Trinity Baptiste. Lebanon’s team, ranked 8th in Asia and 44th globally, will begin its matches on Monday, June 26, against China (ranked 2nd globally and 1st in Asia) at 6:30 AM Beirut time. They will then face South Korea (ranked 4th in Asia and 12th globally) on Tuesday, June 27, at 4:00 AM, and conclude their first-round matches against New Zealand (ranked 5th in Asia and 29th globally) on Wednesday, June 28, at 4:00 AM.
