The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces, through its Public Relations Division, issued a statement today, Friday, reporting: "As a result of the daily monitoring conducted by specialized units in the Internal Security Forces to fight against drug trafficking and promotion in various Lebanese areas, information was received by the Information Branch regarding two unidentified individuals on a black motorcycle promoting narcotic substances in the Old Sidon Road area. Consequently, the specialized units of the branch began field and investigative procedures to identify and apprehend the suspects. As a result of extensive inquiries and investigations, their identities were determined as follows: W.M. (born in 2003, Lebanese) and A.M. (born in 2003, Syrian).
On 11-10-2023, after precise surveillance, a patrol from the branch arrested them in the act in the Old Sidon Road area while they were promoting drugs on the aforementioned motorcycle, which was also seized. Upon searching them and the motorcycle, a quantity of cocaine and cocaine base divided into boxes and plastic capsules was found. During the interrogation, they confessed to the charges against them regarding drug promotion on the Old Sidon Road, and surrounding areas including Hadath and Baabda, using the motorcycle found in their possession. They admitted that they received the motorcycle and drugs from a person to promote them in exchange for five million Lebanese pounds. They also confessed to drug use.
The motorcycle was legally seized, the necessary legal procedures were taken against them, and they along with the confiscated items were handed over to the relevant authority based on the instructions of the competent judiciary."
In the act, the Information Branch arrested drug dealers in the Old Sidon Road area and confiscated a quantity of drugs in their possession. #Internal_Security_Forces #Security_Is_A_Trust
