A responsible source in the Gaza Crossing and Borders Authority has responded to rumors circulating on social media about a breach of the Rafah crossing from the Palestinian side, confirming that the crossing has not been breached as reported, according to the "Cairo News" channel.
The source confirmed on Friday evening that a group of displaced individuals near the Rafah land crossing, located east of Rafah Governorate in southern Gaza, set fire to tires in front of the main gate of the crossing.
It was explained that after setting the tires ablaze, the displaced individuals opened the crossing gate and attacked trucks carrying food aid that were en route to the Gaza Strip. The source mentioned that police patrols have been dispatched to stabilize the situation on the ground and secure the aid trucks.
