He stated that "the Israeli army killed 8,000 militants during the fighting in the northern sector, but there are still some militants left." Admiral Daniel Hagari, in an online briefing, added that "the army also seized tens of thousands of weapons and millions of documents in that area." He continued: "We are now focusing on dismantling Hamas in central and southern Gaza."

In another development, officials from the Palestinian health sector revealed that seven Palestinians, including women and children, were killed, and dozens were injured in an Israeli airstrike on a house in Khan Younis in the southern sector on Saturday.
