Lapid Criticizes Exemption Law: A Shame for Netanyahu's Government

Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government of "lying and shirking responsibility." Lapid stated, "The exemption law that will be proposed this week is the ugliest face of the government in the country's history. Lies, avoidance of responsibility, discrimination between blood and blood." He added, "There is no shame. After six months of painful war, the Israeli army is suffering from a shortage of soldiers, and the government is offering exemptions from conscription to tens of thousands of young people." He continued, "This is a disgrace, and anyone who continues to sit in this government is complicit in this disgrace."
