The public prosecutor in Mount Lebanon, Judge Ghada Aoun, commented on the arrest of Peruvian President Dina Boluarte, saying: "Where are they still questioning her about watches and a few thousand dollars that are not significant; we have millions and billions." It is noteworthy that "Peruvian police raided Boluarte's home and presidential office on March 30, looking for a collection of watches believed to include at least three 'Rolex' pieces." The Attorney General is seeking explanations for Boluarte's acquisition of a Cartier bracelet worth $56,000, along with other jewelry valued at over $500,000 and bank deposits of about $250,000, which date back to the period when she held a ministerial position in 2021 and 2022.
