Sudan... Paris Conference Aims to Raise Over One Billion Euros

A French diplomatic source reported that a conference in Paris regarding humanitarian aid for Sudan aims to raise "significantly more than one billion euros," as the European Union, France, and Germany will pledge additional aid. Three sources indicated that the European Union will commit to providing 350 million euros, while France will add 110 million euros. The sources also stated that the United States will invest a total of 147 million dollars. Germany had pledged 244 million euros earlier on Monday. The French diplomatic source said, "I hope the amount will exceed one billion euros," without specifying the sources of the remaining pledges.
