The Kingdom of Bahrain hosted a regional workshop organized by the UNESCO Regional Center for Quality and Excellence in Education titled "Developing University Education Programs in Arab Countries in Light of Future Skills and Professions." This event was coordinated between the center and the Higher Education Council. In his speech during the meeting, the Director-General of the UNESCO Regional Center for Quality and Excellence in Education, Abdul Rahman bin Ibrahim Al-Mudayris, emphasized the role of higher education in focusing more on skills and professional experiences. He highlighted the importance of developing faculty members to provide opportunities that focus on general and specialized skills, enabling them to benefit from the creativity of graduates and the nature of their preparations. This aims to align with general changes in driving forces, developments, future changes, and to adapt positively to them, indicating that the efforts of communities yield sustainable academic renewal.
