The Tunisian National Guard announced today, Sunday, that "the Coast Guard has recovered the bodies of 13 migrants off the coast of Tunisia and rescued 1,867 others in several separate incidents in the Mediterranean Sea." The number of migrant boats heading from Tunisia to the Italian coast has significantly increased with the improvement in weather conditions.
